Turnaround time: Sensitising events: Issue of primary anti-D injection within 2 hours. Issue of subsequent anti-D injection is required within 24 hours. Suitability and post natal anti-D injection: From 08:30 -20:00:- available within 6 hours (subject to the detection of an alloantibody or previous prophylaxis injection.) From 20:00 -08:30: available by the end for the following morning. Routine prophylaxis: By the date documented on the request form.

Turnaround time: Within 24 hours. If an antibody quantification or titration is required (NHSBT referral) this can take 72 hours from receipt in the reference lab.
Antenatal Group and Antibody Screen

Turnaround time: 6 hours (subject to the antibody classification). If referred to NHSBT reference lab the turnaround time will be exceeded by unknown quantity but is normally resolved within 72 hours.
