Sample requirements:
For complement genotyping (R197 and R201 from the NHSE Genomic Test Directory) the following samples are required:
- One EDTA blood sample (>5ml) and one SST blood sample (>5ml)
- Alternatively 10ug DNA can be sent.
Samples should be sent at ambient temperature to the Newcastle Genetics Laboratory.
Important:
Samples from patients referred directly to the NRCTC for suspected aHUS should be prepared as advised by the aHUS consultant and collected by the aHUS courier- please see the NRCTC website for further information or contact [email protected]
