Turnaround times
The quoted turnaround time is from sample receipt in the laboratory, to results authorisation in the Laboratory Information Management system. The times do not include transport of specimen to the laboratory or the administrative process to print and post/email reports. Service users must allow for transport and reporting time when ordering tests.

Special requirements:
The sample must reach the laboratory by 2pm on the day of collection so it can be sent by courier to the reference laboratory to arrive the following day.Samples should not be sent on Fridays or at the weekend.Please phone the Duty Biochemist (29719) before sending the sample.Provide details of cysteamine dose times and white cell differential count if possible.
