Turnaround times
The quoted turnaround time is from sample receipt in the laboratory, to results authorisation in the Laboratory Information Management system. The times do not include transport of specimen to the laboratory or the administrative process to print and post/email reports. Service users must allow for transport and reporting time when ordering tests.

Useful only in the investigation of X-linked lymphoproliferative disease (XLP).

Special requirements:
Samples should ideally be tested as fresh as possible. Keep at room temperature at all times. Samples should arrive in the laboratory no later than 13:00 to be processed the same day. This test is not performed on Females.

Should be excluded along with XIAP (research test only) in possible FHLH in males where other causes have not been found. This test is only available by prior arrangement with the laboratory (Ext: 25078) and discussion with a clinical immunologist (paediatric or adult). Samples should ideally be tested as fresh as possible. Keep at room temperature at all times. Samples should arrive in the laboratory no later than 13:00 to be processed the same day.
