This 5th June, we’re back to celebrate the passion, expertise, and dedication of biomedical science professionals. Every year we come together to showcase our laboratories, share our breakthroughs, and spread awareness about our essential role #AtTheHeartOfHealthcare.
My profession provides the safe, high-quality pathology services that underpin NHS care. Biomedical scientists and laboratory staff process over 1.5 billion samples each year and contribute to diagnostic activity in more than 85% of clinical pathways.
As Biomedical Science Day 2025 approaches on 5 June, I would welcome your support in recognising the essential role of our workforce. This event shines a light on how laboratory staff diagnose, treat and monitor disease across the UK.
